there was a time when speaking to hares was forbidden by written law and superstitious, priestly taboo. the hare was considered a mysterious creature that could move freely between our human world and the godly realms, aiding communication between them. the spiral on this hare's forehead stands for the one source, root and origin. the hare is associated with deities like Ostara and Holda (which means moon).
